Cycling Resource Centre – Austroads

Project description:

The site is managed by the Australian Bicycle Council (ABC) which consists of representatives of state, territory and local governments, the cycling industry and bicycle users.

The ABC coordinates the Australian National Cycling Strategy 2011-2016 and reports on its implementation to Australian Transport ministers. The operational support for the ABC is provided by Austroads, the association of Australian and NZ road transport and traffic authorities.

I was approached by Austroads who were in need of a Expression Engine developer who would be able to work with existing code and to enhance site functionality.

A number of recommendations were made upon initial consultation which were generally accepted by client.

The end result is a far more refined CMS solution which is more inline with Austroads branding.

Development tasks included the ability to filter search results by category and also the ability to assign content to multiple sections with the use of the Pixel and Tonic addon Playa.
